Asymptotic sketches, from ‘within-world’

Doc Searls, while in possession of a unique POV when mediated by an electro-optic device for capturing portions of the visible light spectrum as images representative of a certain reality, is better known for his ideas on markets and technology. But, in Asymptotic living, he sketches out a project that fits my definition of a project that is ‘By, For and uniquely In-world‘ thus representative of Metaverse, the media. He outlines the temporal and spatial mutation of a Second Life sim, a transformative process comparable to land art in scale, scope and texture. His simple sketch is haiku-esque in its simplicity and lucidity, and off-handedly adumbrates ways of thinking from ‘with-inworld,’ even thought he is coming from without (as far as I know, Doc doesn’t hangout SL, yet).
